anybody know what exactly you have to do to put a 241 or 231 tcase that was behind a 700r4, to mate up to a th350 tranny? they're both 27spline but there's a length difference and was wondering if i can just cut the output shaft on the 350 and how much to cut off.
You can also measure the adapter housing on both of them and possibly swap the adapter---But the easy way is to just cut down the TH350 shaft-- I just don't like doing that because if you ever go with a different case you'll have to have a new shaft put in your tranny.

i have a chevy 205 and a 203 but want a 231/241 to use as a range box then use a ford205 or d300 for the doubler. if i went 231/241&d300 i'd save over 100lbs plus save $200-$400
