If your sure they are the same, bolt pattern? use a big hammer, just dont hit the spindle where the bearings ride on it.

You'll need a big hammer and a block of wood so you don't damage the spindle. Or a large deadblow hammer with a soft face.

Soak the edges of the spindle with penetrating oil and they whack the **** out of it with you hammer and piece of scrap wood. Hit it about midway between the back of the spindle and the threads. And hit it all the way around if you can-not just on one side.

The spindle is somewhat press fitted into the knuckle. If this doesn't work you may have to find a torch and heat the knuckle up around the spindle.

maybe i used the wrong term.i am refering to the part that turns.it has a castle nut on top  and a nut on the bottom.it seems to be some kind of ball joint. i want to hit it but i am afraid i will break something.is there a camber adjustment there i need to be aware of.thanks for the help.

I think you referring to the knuckle.

It is held on by the upper and lower ball joints. You need to remove the axle if you haven't done so yet. Then remove the nuts from the upper and lower balljoints.

Then take your hammer and tap around the ears where the studs of the balljoints come through. This should loosen them up a little.

Now you'll need to hit the knuckle from the bottom to knock it up off of the balljoints. You may need to hit it harder than you think you should. If you are replacing the ball joint too you can hit the tops of them and drive them out of the knuckle and spindle at the same time. If you take the balljoints out check to see if they have a retaining clip first or they won't come out without removing the clip first.

There is a camber adjustment that screws in the top ear of the knuckle. It won't come out unless you take it out.

As long as you haven't replaced tie rod ends or played with the steering arm you shouldn't need to have an alignment, unless it needed on before. But since your putting different knuckles on you may want to get one anyway.
