New to to 4wds

I have a 1977 Chevy 1/2 ton coverted to 3/4 the truck was and stll may be full-time 4wd. I have 3/4 ton axles 4.10 gears and now a NP205 tc. what can i do to not make it fulltime, and should i or not. This will be an off and road truck. Also, i guess the front end is Dana 44, maybe down the road i can afford like a Dana 60 or something.

Well since you already have an np205 t-case the only thing left to do is to replace the auto matic front hubs with a pair of normal lock-out hubs. Then you will have a true-part time 4x4 system.

Yes it's worth doing because with lock-outs you can un-lock them when on the street and save wear on you front axles, gears, tires, and bearings==save fuel too!!
