4 link suspension

I need to build a 4 link for my truck but I need to know how to start.  I am a decent welder and have access to any tool.  In specific, I need to build a four link for a 1985 Dodge Ramcharger frame.  Please let me know if you can help.

I know there are books out there to assist you with this.  Can't think of names off hand.  I do know geometry is important and setting the control arms at appropriate angles from one antoher is a must.  Like I said there are books check amazon for suspension stuff.

Alot of it depends on how you want to build it---coils and bypass shocks or full on coil-over springs.

Then do you want it adjustable or just linked up and working?

Shoot me an e-mail (gksmitty48@msn.com)or call jeremy at custom diffs-573-483-3343. One of us might be able to help you out!!!

Thank you for your replies.  Jeremy at custom diffs actually is the one that built and installed my axles, GM14 bolt rear and Dana60 front.  He also installed a crossover steering, cut and rolled my front axle got me some sick 12 in wide rims and made my truck the coolest truck in the world in my view.  For pictures before restoration, lift, axles, etc. look at www.morganfaulkner.com. As for the 4 link, I'm not quite sure if I want it to be adjustable or not.  I'm not an everyday wheeler but I do occasionally get out.  My truck is more of a show truck.  I have aslo heard that becauase I have a short wheelbase that it be better to just do trac bars.  HELP!!!!!!!

Setting up a 4 link, isnt very hard after you do your research. I just finished 4 linking to rear of my XJ and spent about 20 hrs reading up on the right way to start about doing it. I say to start beacuse there is no one way to set one up but a ton of wrong ways. A good place to start reading is pirate4x4.com and search under 4 link. When properly bulit you should have little to no anti-squat and your roll axis should be high enough to keep the center of gravity low on your vehicle, whille not causing your vehicles body to shift hard left or right under flex. If you didnt follow any of that start reading :)
