I have a set of used Unimog 404 axles forsale.  They are still on the skid from when I purchased them.  2000.00

are these axles rebuilt or still in old shape? do you have the manual cables for the lockers or do these even have that type of locker in them? do you know the gear ratio? most of them came with 3:54 gears with the 2:13 portal assembly ratio thats 7:56. where are you located? my email is: jameyts@sbcglobal.net send me a message on there.

Hey Regan,


Are they both fronts or a front and a rear?  I have folks bugging me already about the spare set I just picked up for mine I may send your way...  Sellin the 404's?  Didn't get a set of 406's didja?  :)


FYI- Goneballistic - The 404s to the best of my knowledge all had the cable activated lockers.  I have a real good source for aftermarket cables I use on my buggy that work real nice.  You are correct on the gear ratio...

Hey,

They are the standard set of 404's with the 3:54 center and the portal boxes on the outside, and the cable lockers in them. I got them about 8 months ago from a military surplus outfit and had them shipped to me. I haven't even taken them off the pallets. It is a front steer and a rear non steer. I didnt get a set of 406's, but that is prolly what I am going to get once I start the new rig. Right now I am trying to finish up my house, so this money could really come in handy....alot more than axles on a skid lol
