hey whats the bigest problem with springing over a samuai and is the jx edition the 1.6 liter or the smaller one , it says its like 81 ci but it didn't have the liters on it
Definitely the steering and driveshafts especially on something that short. Welding the perches might also be difficult, to set pinion angle, caster, etc... .
The Front perches might be a pain because of the diff housing, but if you clamp the axles under the springs with the perches loose-it shouldn't be too bad to set your pinion angle and then tack weld them into place, then you can remove the axles and finish welding them.

I'ts not hard at all to do a spring over on a sammy. I did one about 3 years ago that you might have seen at Lesterville. I put a fuel injected motor out of an 89' Mustang and the automatic behind it, and yes it was a tight fit. The jackshaft in between the tranny and divorce was half sam. half mustang welded together and the rear shaft was about 13" long. But I never broke anything with 36"s. As far as the spring over no problem at all. the only thing you"ll have to modify is the steering bar coming over it will rub your right hand spring when cut all the way to the right. Make new perches get your pinions right and weld them up. The up side is you don't even need new shocks because your shocks mount to the u-bolt pads and they stay in the same hieght that they were before. Good Luck! Rainman
